I pray your days have been filled with joy.

I am writing to announce that ShantiMayi's Peru Journeys for 2010 have been fully organized. We are now ready to accept sign ups. There are three set journeys - each with its own unique itinerary. A thousand thanks go out to Akampa Victor of Machu Picchu Travel for all his help. Thank you everyone for your patience in awaiting this info.

You may receive multiple copies of this invitation because we are mailing from multiple lists. There is no way to check these lists for doubles because we keep them separated for privacy reasons. Please feel free to mail this invite to anyone you think may be interested. Please read this email all the way through, including attachments, before responding. There is absolutely no need to respond to this email unless you are interested in coming to Peru with us.

Akampa, our organizer, is an experienced tour operator with offices in Cologne and Peru. His operation is fully insured, so all of our transactions with his company will be fully covered if for some reason the tour does not happen.

The prices are very good, and the journeys are well thought out. At the end of this email is a summary of the journeys with their costs. The attached pdf documents contain the exact itineraries. Please do not email any questions to anyone until you have read everything in these pdfs. The answers are probably there, or in this email.

These journeys have been organized knowing that people from all over the world are coming to Peru to spend time with ShantiMayi.

These are not site seeing journeys, though we will see many wonderful things and meet many wonderful people. We are there to continue our prayerful duty to awaken the planet. It is highly recommended that you do not bring along any expectations.

Please choose the journeys you will come on mindfully - being especially aware that we will be in the mountains at high elevations on the first two journeys, and in the jungle on the third journey.

When you sign up, you will be sent a detailed packing list and other travel related information. Please read these carefully and abide by these suggestions.

Below is the sign up process and some important information.

Sign Up Process:

The following should be included in this initial communication with Machu Picchu Travel. Cut and paste this list into your email, and fill out ALL of the information requested.

Email is highly preferable, however.

2. You will recieve an email in return from Machu Picchu Travel telling you the exact process of payment. At this point credit card payments are not possible (because of the high fees imposed by credit card companies). Payments will be made by bank transfer. Exact instructions will all be included in that email. A 10% deposit will be required at sign up. The date of final payment will also be explained in this email from Machu Picchu Travel.

3. Get your plane tickets and arrange for your travel to and from each journey. Akampa can help with this as well.

4. Wait a bit, and then fly to Peru.

5. Requested Dontation for ShantiMayi. Not included in the prices of these journeys is a 200 Euro donation (per person/ per journey) that will be payable directly to ShantiMayi in Peru. Please be prepared to make this donation on the first day of each journey that you will attend (Cash. Euro Prefered - Though Equivalence In US or AUS $ is ok.)

Very Very Important Info:

1. All are welocme. However, if ShantiMayi feels that any person is Energetically / Emotionally / Physically incompatible with these journeys, then that person will be asked not to come. I am sure everyone understands the need for us to affirm this right in the context of such arduous journeys in close quarters. We certainly do not expect this to occur, but we do adamantly reserve this right - for everyone's sake. (Should this happen deposits, if any, will be returned.)

2. If you have any questions not directly answerable by the good people at Maccu Picchu Travels, then please contact me, Sahara, at peru2010(at)shantimayi.com. Meeting in Lima. Driving to Lake Titikaka by way of Nazca and Arequipa. Group will disband in Puno, on Lake Titikaka. Everyone is responsible for their own onward travel from Puno. If you are also going onto Journey 2 you will be responsible for you own travel to Cusco.

Group meets in Cusco and disbands in or around Cusco. We will stay the entire time in the Sacred Valley region - including a journey to Maccu Picchu. All participants are responsilbe for getting to and away from Cusco. If you are also going onto Group 3 you will be responsible for your own travel onto Lima for the beginning of Journey 3 on Sept 1st.

Group meets in Lima and disbands in Iquitoes. We will travel around the Lima area for a few days and then fly into The Amazon and stay there until the end of the journey. Flights into Iquitoes and back to Lima ARE included in the price. Everyone is responsible for their travel to and from Lima at the beginning and end of the journey.

This Journey will also include ShantiMayi's 60th Birthday Celebration on Sept 13 in the Jungle. So make sure you bring your birthday party hats.
